Vapaalla harjoittelemassa luottamusta / Out to train trust

Kuulokoiran elämä ei tarvitse aina olla työtä, kaikki tarvitsevat lomaa ainakin hetkeksi. Tälläinen mahdollisuus meillä oli viikonloppuna, osallistuessamme kuulokoira leirille. Siellä molemmat pääsimme hetkeksi vapaalle. Siellä tapaamisten lisäksi Midas sai nauttia uusista ympäristöistä ja päästellä menemään pururadalla.

The life of a hearing-dog doesn't have to all be work. Everyone needs a vacation for a moment at least. We had a chance to that at weekend, as we took a part of hearing-dog-camp. There both of us could take a break. Beside meetings Midas could enjoy new environments and could unleash on a track.

Mikäpä hienompaa kuin nähdä koiran nauttivan menosta ja hajuista. Siihen samaan piti tietenkin yhdistää harjoittelua luottamuksesta. Se on kaikista tärkeintä meille molemmille liikkuessamme erilaisissa ympäristöissä. Minä luotan Midaksen antamiin merkkeihin ja se luottaa antamaani turvaan. Tätä harjoittelimme luoksetuloina, seuraamispaikkaa vaihdellen sekä laiturilla.

What would be greater than seeing a dog enjoying going and smells. Of course we had to annex training of trust. It is most important to each of us as we move in different environments. I trust the signals Midas sends and it trust the safety I provide. This we trained with different exercises and by changing following place and on a dock.

Tuo laiturilla oleminen oli erittäin haasteellinen paikka molemmille vaikka aaltoja ei näkynyt. En ole monesti joutunut olemaan rohkaisijan roolissa, nyt sain olla siinä. Emme ole olleet aikaisemmin laiturilla ja se näkyi Midaksesta. Yleensä se johdattaa minua minne vain, ei haittaa vaikka minulle tulisi huono olo.


The dock was a challenging place for both of us even though there wasn't any waves. I haven't have to be the encourager, now I did. We haven't been on a dock before and it shown from Midas. Usually it leads me anywhere, doesn't matter if I got sick.

Hieman tuo Meniere muistutti olemassa olostaan tai vaikutuksistaan arjen haasteisiin. Tämä tuli ilmi koittaessani ottaa kuvaa Midaksesta seisomassa veden lähistöllä. Kuvittelin ottavani kuvan jossa koira seisoo suorassa. Myöhemmin selvisi että koko kuva on vinossa...


A little Menier reminded of itself challenging the every-day-life. It came up as I tried to take a picture of Midas standing front of lake. I thought I was taking a picture where Midas would stand straight. Later I found out that the whole picture was tilted.

Kyllä leiripäivä alkoi näkyä meissä molemissa ja taas tuli eteen yksi harjoiteltava asia. Nimittäin Midas menee kyllä omalle paikalleen ja on siinä, mutta että sulkisi silmänsä; siihen on vielä matkaa...


The camp-day started to shown from both of us and again something came up that we need to train. For Midas goes to its own place and stays, but for closing it eyes; to that there still is way to go...
